Eloping Packages
The Internet is a great source for anyone planning to get married. If you're on a tight budget the idea of eloping might appeal to you. There are lots of eloping packages offered specifically for this purpose. You can use the search engine of your choice to research various package deals offered by online travel agencies and other companies. You might also want to try putting together your own custom package using do-it-yourself travel sites like Expedia or Priceline. When researching any kind of travel package there are a variety of things to consider.
First, make sure you really want to elope. Eloping is just as legal and binding as a traditional wedding ceremony. You are required to get the proper marriage license before you can elope. In the past the term elope was used to describe young couples who ran off to wed. The original use of the word was to describe a married woman who ran away with her paramour. Today not everyone elopes in secret. Some couples tell their friends and family that eloping is what they have chosen to do. It is definitely cheaper than throwing a traditional church wedding with reception and many families understand that.
If you plan to travel anywhere to elope you will need to arrange your travel plans and accommodations. This might mean booking airfare if you will be flying. Then you will also need a place to stay at your destination if you will be gone longer than one day. Use the Internet to shop around for all-in-one packages that combine airfare and accommodations. You will also find various wedding packages that include the ceremony and sometimes extras like photographs and/or celebratory champagne.
There are all kinds of eloping packages to consider. For example maybe you want to tie the knot on a tropical beach somewhere. Or perhaps you have always dreamed of a glitzy Vegas wedding. Las Vegas is famous for their wedding chapels and even has those you can drive through. This is certainly one of the least expensive places to elope with some Vegas packages costing under $100. Other popular locations for eloping couples include Napa Valley and Niagara Falls. Of course you can always head to your local courthouse and have the Justice of the Peace perform the ceremony. One thing is for certain, engaged couples have a wide variety of options available to them.
